The Ministry of Climate Change & Environmental Coordination, Islamabad, is inviting applications for various positions within the Pakistan Climate Change Authority. Operating under the Ministry's administrative control in accordance with Section 6(1) of the Pakistan Climate Change Act, 2017, this Authority seeks candidates with relevant experience and exceptional service records. Qualified individuals are encouraged to apply.

                        Position Vacants 

1. Chairperson  

Scale: MP-I  

Number of Positions: 01  

Qualification & Experience:

Ph.D. with 15 years of experience, or a Master’s degree with 18 years of experience in climate change or related fields.

Candidates may include scientists, academicians, professionals, serving or retired government servants, industrialists, agriculturists, or other technocrats.

Maximum Age: 62 years (as of the application submission closing date).


2. Member (Adaptation)  

Scale: MP-I  

Number of Positions: 01  

Qualification & Experience:

Ph.D. with 15 years of experience, or a Master’s degree with 18 years of experience in climate change or related fields.

Candidates may include scientists, academicians, professionals, serving or retired government servants, industrialists, agriculturists, or other technocrats. 

Maximum Age: 62 years (as of the application submission closing date).


3. Member (Mitigation)  

Scale: MP-I  

Number of Positions: 01  

Qualification & Experience:

Ph.D. with 15 years of experience, or a Master’s degree with 18 years of experience in climate change or related fields.

Candidates may include scientists, academicians, professionals, serving or retired government servants, industrialists, agriculturists, or other technocrats.

Maximum Age: 62 years (as of the application submission closing date).


4. Member (Climate Finance)  

Scale: MP-I  

Number of Positions: 01  

Qualification & Experience:

Ph.D. with 15 years of experience, or a Master’s degree with 18 years of experience in climate change or related fields. 

Candidates may include scientists, academicians, professionals, serving or retired government servants, industrialists, agriculturists, or other technocrats.

Maximum Age: 62 years (as of the application submission closing date). 


5. Member (Coordination)  

Scale: MP-I  

Number of Positions: 01  

Qualification & Experience:

Ph.D. with 15 years of experience, or a Master’s degree with 18 years of experience in climate change or related fields.

Candidates may include scientists, academicians, professionals, serving or retired government servants, industrialists, agriculturists, or other technocrats.

Maximum Age: 62 years (as of the application submission closing date).




Terms & Conditions:

Disqualification:

Individuals dismissed or removed from service due to disciplinary proceedings.

Individuals convicted of an offense involving moral turpitude or corruption.

Non-citizens of Pakistan at the time of appointment.

Beneficiaries of the National Reconciliation Ordinance, 2007.


Civil Servants/Government Servants: 

Eligible to apply through proper channels.

Applications will be processed according to the MP Scales Policy, 2020.


MP Scale Employment:

Must submit an affidavit declaring non-involvement in conflicting business/jobs.

Employment governed under the MP Scales Policy from the date of initial appointment.

Submit applications within 15 days from the date of advertisement publication.

No TA/DA will be provided for tests/interviews.
