SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGER
Job Responsibilities:
1. Formulate and implement strategic supply chain strategies aimed at enhancing efficiency, cutting costs, and guaranteeing prompt delivery of materials and goods.
2. Supervise and synchronize the activities of various sub-departments, encompassing procurement, inventory management, transportation, warehousing, and distribution.
3. Foster collaboration with internal stakeholders like production, quality assurance, finance, and sales to align supply chain processes with overarching business objectives.
4. Spearhead supplier relationship management initiatives, negotiate contracts, and forge partnerships to secure advantageous terms, pricing, and service standards.
5. Monitor and assess key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate supply chain performance and pinpoint areas for enhancement.
6. Deploy inventory management strategies to optimize stock levels, curtail carrying costs, and forestall shortages or excesses.
7. Cultivate robust relationships with logistics service providers to ensure efficient product transportation and distribution.
8. Ensure adherence to regulatory mandates, safety protocols, and company policies across supply chain operations.
9. Propel continuous improvement endeavors to boost operational efficiency, streamline workflows, and trim lead times.
10. Offer leadership and direction to a team of supply chain professionals, encompassing training, mentorship, and performance evaluation.
11. Compile and deliver routine reports and updates on supply chain performance to senior management.
Requirements And Skills:
1. Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a relevant field; Master's degree is advantageous.
2. Demonstrated track record (2-3 years) of successful supply chain management experience in a manufacturing setting, ideally within the steel industry.
3. Profound understanding of supply chain principles, logistics operations, procurement strategies, and inventory management techniques.
4. Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship-building aptitudes, enabling effective collaboration with internal teams and external counterparts.
5. Meticulous and organized approach to overseeing intricate supply chain processes and workflows.
6. Capacity to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and adeptness in adapting to evolving business requirements.
