The Pakistan Council of Scientific & Industrial Research (PCSIR) a renowned R&D organization operating under the Federal Ministry of Science and Technology in Islamabad, has announced multiple job openings for its new project titled Establishment of Medical Cannabis Greenhouses for Biotechnology Derived Bio-products, National Hemp & Cannabis Analytical Laboratory and National Industrial Hemp & Medicinal Cannabis Authority PCSIR Labs/Head Office Islamabad. The positions are offered on a contract basis for a duration of one year, which is extendable upon the approval of the competent authority.

Available Positions at PCSIR 

1. Senior Scientific Officer (PPS-08)

Number of Posts: 2

Qualifications/Experience:

Ph.D. with two years of experience

MPhil with four years of experience

MSc with five years of experience in Analytical Chemistry/Bio Chemistry/Microbiology/Biotechnology

Experience in reputed organizations, with practical experience on GC-MS, LC-MS/MS, HPLC, ICP-MS, qPCR, and Atomic Absorption

2. Scientific Officer (PPS-07)

Number of Posts: 2

Qualifications/Experience:

MSc/MPhil or equivalent from a recognized university by HEC in Bio Chemistry/Analytical Chemistry/Microbiology

Two years of experience in reputed organizations, with practical experience on GC-MS, LC-MS/MS, HPLC, and Atomic Absorption

3. Senior Engineer (PPS-08)

Number of Posts: 1

Qualifications/Experience:

BSc in Civil Engineering with seven years of relevant experience or MS in Civil Engineering with four years of relevant experience or PhD in Civil Engineering with two years of experience

4. Assistant Procurement (PPS-06)

Number of Posts: 1

Qualifications/Experience:

16 years of education with five years of relevant experience, having full command on PPRA/PEC rules

5. Assistant Account Officer (PPS-06)

Number of Posts: 1

Qualifications/Experience:

M.Com/MBA (Finance) with five years of experience in Admin/Accounts/Audit in Government/Semi Government/Reputed organizations

Eligibility Criteria for PCSIR Jobs 2024

Maximum age limit for Senior Scientific Officer is up to 35 years.

Only candidates having a first division throughout their academic career are eligible to apply for the position of Senior Scientific Officer.
