State Life Insurance Corporation of Pakistan (SLIC), commonly known as State Life, is the largest life insurance corporation in Pakistan by assets and a leading insurer in the country. SLIC extends the benefits of insurance to all sections of society and committed to fulfilling its obligations to policyholders and the nation.

SLIC is seeking dynamic and result-oriented professionals for the following positions on a contract basis for a period of three (03) years, with the possibility of extension based on satisfactory performance:

1. Assistant General Manager (AGM) – Board Secretariat (Karachi Based)

Max Age Limit: 45 years

Minimum Qualifications and Experience:

18 years of education, having completed MBA/M.Com/MPA/LLB or an equivalent/relevant qualification from a reputable university recognized by HEC.

Minimum 5 years of post-qualification experience in the relevant field.

Knowledge, skills, and experience in legal and corporate governance required.

Core competencies include decision-making, problem-solving, presentation, analytical thinking, and drafting.

Excellent IT knowledge and communication skills (both written and verbal) essential.

Chartered Secretary certification preferred.

Role & Responsibilities:

Prepare board agendas, minutes, and papers for board members.

Ensure internal, external, and regulatory compliance within the relevant divisional head portfolio.

Assist the Divisional Head in preparing and updating policies and procedures related to the Board Secretariat.

Ensure smooth and legally compliant board meetings, facilitating effective communication between the board and other stakeholders.

Conduct research and provide recommendations on governance best practices.

Provide legal, financial, and/or strategic advice during and outside of meetings.

Ensure adherence to SECP filing requirements regarding governance.

Monitor regulatory changes and update relevant departments on new compliance requirements.

Liaise with regulatory bodies to ensure timely submission of required reports and documentation.

2. Manager – Board Secretariat (Karachi Based)

Max Age Limit: 45 years

Minimum Qualifications and Experience:

16 years of education, having completed BS/BBA/LLB or an equivalent/relevant qualification from a reputable university recognized by HEC.

Minimum 3-4 years of post-qualification experience in the relevant field.

Proven experience in corporate governance, secretarial/legal roles, and compliance requirements.

Proficient in MS Office and strong communication skills.

Chartered Secretary certification will be preferred.

Role & Responsibilities:

Assist the Divisional Head and Company Secretary in organizing board and committee meetings.

Coordinate logistics for board and committee meetings, including scheduling, venue arrangements, and technical support.

Record board proceedings, prepare minutes, and ensure their implementation.

Assist the Corporate Secretariat team in routine operations, including liaising with stakeholders such as SECP, SBP, and other institutions.

Ensure appropriate record-keeping of the Corporate Secretariat department in accordance with standards.

3. Manager – Communication Strategist (Karachi Based)

Max Age Limit: 45 years

Minimum Qualifications and Experience:

18 years of education, having completed MBA/M.Com/MPA or an equivalent/relevant qualification from a reputable university recognized by HEC.

Minimum 5-6 years of post-qualification experience in the relevant field.

Knowledge of communication theories, principles, and techniques.

Ability to research, write, and edit a variety of communication materials clearly and concisely.

Event planning experience is preferred.

Proficiency in communication-related software (Adobe Creative Cloud, InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator) and digital analytics tools.

Role & Responsibilities:

Create and manage strategic communication plans to enhance the Corporation’s visibility and public image.

Oversee various communication projects and coordinate external communication initiatives to promote the Corporation’s services and programs.

Plan special events, including working with vendors, preparing materials, and managing event budgets.

Oversee the composition and editing of various documents, such as intranet articles, newsletters, web content, and graphic design.

Communicate with the public, regulatory agencies, and employees through multiple media channels.

Develop strategies to increase employee awareness and promote productivity.

4. Deputy Manager – Digital Media Officer (Karachi Based)

Max Age Limit: 45 years

Minimum Qualifications and Experience:

16 years of education, having completed BBA/B.Com/BS/BCS or an equivalent/relevant qualification from a reputable university recognized by HEC/PEC.

Minimum 3-4 years of post-qualification experience in the relevant field.

Strong understanding of social media platforms, digital advertising, and SEO/SEM.

Proficiency in digital analytical tools (e.g., Google Analytics).

Role & Responsibilities:

Develop and implement digital media strategies.

Manage and monitor social media platforms, create engaging content, and analyze digital campaigns.

Promote innovative insurance products and services, increase brand awareness, and engage customers.

Track the success of digital campaigns using KPIs.

Engage with followers, respond to inquiries, and handle customer service issues on social media platforms.

Stay updated with digital trends.

Use analytical tools to track and report the performance of digital media campaigns.

Implement SEO strategies to improve online visibility.

Manage SEM campaigns to drive targeted traffic to the organization’s website.

5. Deputy Manager (On Contract)

Max Age Limit: 45 years

Minimum Qualifications and Experience:

LLB from an HEC-recognized university (preference will be given to LLM holders).

5 years of active practice as an Advocate of the High Court.

Must be registered with the Bar Council.

Role & Responsibilities:

Provide strategic guidance/opinions on all issues pertaining to the Law Division.

Monitor pending litigations in various courts and devise strategies to expedite the disposal of court cases.

Vet all documents, petitions, and reports to be submitted to the courts.

Devise procedures for handling complex court cases.

Prepare monthly and quarterly reports for senior management.

Liaise with relevant government offices, panel law firms, and other competent authorities for company business.

Draft and vet policy documents, speaking orders, and other legal documents.

Represent SLIC in various courts as needed.

Identify potential legal risks and suggest proactive strategies to mitigate them.

6. Assistant Manager (On Contract)

Max Age Limit: 45 years

Minimum Qualifications and Experience

LLB from an HEC-recognized university (preference will be given to LLM holders).

3 years of active practice as an Advocate of the High Court.

Must be registered with the Bar Council.

Role & Responsibilities:

Vet all policy documents referred by any division and prepare para-wise comments for submission to the apex court.

Follow up on cases and update superiors with action points.

Appear before the court and other fora on behalf of SLIC as necessary.

7. Executive Officer (On Contract)

Max Age Limit: 35 years

Minimum Qualifications and Experience:

LLB from an HEC-recognized university (preference will be given to LLM holders).

2 years of active practice as an Advocate.

Must be registered with the Bar Council.

Role & Responsibilities:

Coordinate with different departments of SLIC to provide legal advice and opinions.

Draft and vet orders, guidelines, notices, contracts, and letters in coordination with client departments and external advocates.

Manage legal issues professionally and in a timely manner to minimize reliance on outside counsel.

Maintain records of all cases, petitions, and court decisions.
